Do you see lines/wrinkles when you smile, share a surprised face, or when you are giving that WTF look? It’s time for some tox!
Botox is the most popular treatment in the United States.
Wherever its injected, Botox causes the underlying muscles to temporarily stop moving. When the muscles stop moving, the wrinkles stop forming. The injections slow muscles that contract hundreds of times a day, eventually etching lines in the skin. In addition to relaxing frown lines in between the eyebrows, Botox can also lift the corners of the mouth that sag with age, smooth out the “pincushion” look in some chins, and soften smoker’s lines around the mouth.
Do I need Botox/Dysport?
Wrinkles are like the hiccups—annoying and kind of inevitable. But unlike hiccups, which can be could be cured with a teaspoon of sugar (true!), wrinkles don’t just go away.
From ages 21 to 71, if you have fine lines and wrinkles, you can benefit from Botox/Dysport!
How much will I need?
Botox and Dysport is measured by the unit. A unit is simply the measurement used to determine the amount of Botox given.
Each vial of Botox usually contains 100 units. A typical Botox treatment for the face is 50 to 60 units. Don’t worry, 50 units doesn’t mean 50 injections.
The most common areas treated are crow’s feet, frown lines, and forehead. These areas combined usually need 50 to 60 units.
What’s the difference between Botox and Dypsort?
We always say it’s similar to the difference between Pepsi and Coke. Dysport is priced at $1.99 a unit (for members) and Botox is $7.99 a unit (for members). You’ll need three times the amount of Dysport to equal the same amount of Botox. This means one unit of Botox is equal to three units of Dysport.
These two products do the same thing, just different brands!
How can Botox/Dysport be used to treat excessive underarm sweating?
Kiss excessive sweating goodbye! Tired of changing your shirt midday to cover up embarrassing sweat stains? This amazing treatment can save you from those sweaty situations. Botox/Dysport for sweating is a very common treatment for people that have problems with Hyperhydrosis, or excessive sweating.
Do I need Botox/Dysport for my masseter muscles?
Go ahead and clench your teeth together. Do you feel your muscle near your jawline? Do you grind your teeth at night? If you answered yes, this might be for you!
Botox/Dysport relaxes your muscles and can ease the tension and stiffness that you feel all day long. Ugh-annoying, right? Once treated, there’s a chance you will have less headaches and wake up feeling more refreshed.
Botox/Dysport can also slim the look of a “square face” when injections are administered in the masseter muscle (the muscle around the jawline). This will actually give the face a narrower appearance!
Botox and Dysport sold in single-use vials. The entire vial must be purchased.
